We strive to provide you and your family with the perfect puppy. Rhodesian Ridgebacks are a large breed dog and need daily exercise.  Ridgebacks enjoy being around people and other dogs.  If you plan to leave your dog at home for long periods of time while you are away at work you may want to consider having a K9 companion for them.

ABOUT US

ABOUT US

We are located in Florence, SC and have been breeding Rhodesian Ridgebacks since 2007.  We were formally Phillips Stables and Kennels but with life changes, we no longer have horses.  We strive to only breed healthy dogs with a good confirmation.  The puppies are well socialized with children.  All of our puppies come with a veterinarian wellness check at 6 weeks old, will be up to date with vaccinations, and come with a 1 year health guarantee.

Color

The color is not guaranteed to stay the same.  RR have many color scales.  Red, light wheaten, wheaten are common variations and they can also have either a black or liver nose.  While the color of the nose can be detected early on you may notice your puppies coat lighten or darken as they get older.

Temperament

The puppies temperament is not guaranteed to stay the same.  The first few weeks of life we notice a change in their personalities as they mature.  A puppy that seems lazy and 4 weeks my be extremely energetic at 7 weeks and visa versa.  We always use our best guess to determine which puppy is the best fit for an individual.  Keeping your puppy well socialized and away from traumatic experiences will help.  Talk to your vet for the best time to spay or neuter your puppy.

The Ridge

The ridge should be clearly defined, tapering and symmetrical. It should start immediately behind the shoulders and continue to a point between the prominence of the hips and should contain two identical crowns (whorls) directly opposite each other.
